Joan authored a weekly column for the New York Post called Get a Lifestyle, trekked the Himalayas in her 50s, married the love of her life, Charles Lazarus, the founder of Toys R Us when she was 60, maintained her sobriety for 46 years, and sponsored countless people in A.A. She discusses the critical components of a balanced lifestyle including discipline, self-acceptance, spirituality, and a healthy diet—Joan dishes on fillers and facelifts and their role in shaping self-perception and self-acceptance.
